A total of seven women accused Tim.

The longtime DJ and presenter Tim Westwood is accused of committing sexual misconduct by several women suddenly. The women claim that Tim abused and took advantage of his place and position in the music industry.

A total of seven women presented their charges against Westwood, three of whom claim to have been victims of predatory sexual behavior by the DJ, while the other four women claimed to have been groped by Tim at certain events.

The women have publicly released their statements describing the events leading up to their sexual assault. Here’s everything we know about it so far:

Who is Tim Westwood?

Tim is one of the most popular names in British music and is a hip-hop veteran with experience in the field for over 30 years. Today, his name and his opinions have so much power that they could make or break the careers of new artists as well as old ones.

The entertainer has maintained his instantly recognizable style of dress since the 1980s and is known for his Big Dawg persona. Tim hosted BBC Radio 1 for nearly 20 years where he was called the voice of hip-hop.

Currently, he owns a show on Capital Xtra and also performs regularly at clubs across the UK and also overseas. He is also co-owner of Kiss FM, the pirate station.

What happened?

On Tuesday, Tim was charged by seven women who are hurling allegations of sexual misconduct at him. These women spoke to the BBC about this incident where it was discovered that they were all black women, and they claim to have met Tim through his work.

Of the seven women, two said they came to London to meet Tim after aspiring to work in the hip-hop industry and wanting to discuss music with him. Then they claimed that Tim took them to an apartment and initiated energetic sex.

Another woman told the BBC that she met Tim in her mid-30s when she was 17 in an R&B band and that Tim subjected her to unwanted oral sex during the meeting. The other four women accused Tim of touching their bottoms or breasts as they posed for pictures with him at his events.

Tim’s reaction

Allegations alleging Tim’s misbehavior towards women of color have been a topic for some time, however, Tim has always denied these claims and called them fabricated. Tim, who is now 64, has clearly denied all of the charges against him and also noted that none of the allegations have been reported to police.

A documentary titled “Tim Westwood: Abuse of Power” aired on the BBC where these women shared their stories. We don’t know if they are lying or telling the truth.
