Kareena Kapoor Purposely Writes About Sex Drive During Pregnancy For This Reason | Bollywood
Kareena Kapoor Khan says most women in India are “afraid” to discuss sex. And that’s why, in her recent self-help pregnancy book, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible, she made it a point to talk about it.
The actor and his husband, Saif Ali Khan, are parents of two sons. They welcomed Taimur Ali Khan in December 2016. They had their second son Jehangir Ali Khan, also known as Jeh, in February of this year.
According to The Guardian, Kareena also talks about sex and libido during pregnancy in her book. It also provides a range of suggested sex positions, talks about the stigma and trauma of cesarean sections and more.
“No one wants to talk about belching and swollen feet and not feeling sexy enough, or hair loss, or having mood swings so bad you don’t even want to talk,” she told the Guardian. “That’s why we talk about sex in the book. Most women in India are afraid to tackle this problem. But these are things we should be talking about, ”she added.

At the launch of her book, Kareena had confided in the loss of her libido while she was pregnant. “People just feel like… When you’re pregnant, they don’t realize the kind of moods, emotions, feelings, what you actually feel about yourself. It is so important. Some days I was feeling super amazing and sexy, and I was feeling “oh my god I look so hot with this belly” and I was feeling amazing, and I would tell Saif that or he would say, “You es gorgeous, “” Kareena said in a live Instagram session at the time.
“But there were times after six or seven months when I felt like… Of course, I was exhausted and couldn’t get up in the morning sometimes. But sometimes it’s just a feeling of loathing. You’re just in a mental state where you don’t know what to think. Having a supportive man is so important and most men shouldn’t put pressure on their wives to a) look good while they’re pregnant and b) feel less. That pressure shouldn’t be there or like ‘this is it, our regular sex life has to be super active,’ ”she added.
