Kate Middleton’s brother James launches new personal blog
It’s a very exciting time for Kate Middleton’s brother James, who has just announced his intention to start a personal blog on a subject close to her heart: dogs. Or more precisely, how to train them!
In a new video, shared by his dog food company Ella & Co.’s Instagram page, in which he can be seen riding his bike with not one but what looks like five pooches in tow, James explained that people often ask him for advice on how they can be the best “dog parents” possible. It is therefore quite logical that he is about to create a blog in which he can offer his wealth of knowledge.
“I have given a lot of thought to the questions that dog parents ask me on a daily basis. Although I am by no means an ‘expert’, I have been surrounded by dogs all my life and, like most of you, I have been surrounded by dogs. know, I live with six at home, so I’ve run into just about every obstacle you face in having a dog, ”James wrote on Instagram when sharing the fun clip. “From home training a puppy to making life easier for an older dog.”
He went on to say that he hopes to “share my learnings, thoughts and experiences that I have discovered along the way. I really hope this can be a useful resource for anyone with a dog (or who might consider having a dog!). “

In the past, James has talked about how spending time with animals has been extremely beneficial for his mental health, and how taking care of his pets has helped him cope with his depression.
In a sincere essay written for the Daily mail In January 2019, James bravely spoke out about his struggle with mental health. Recognizing that he is “richly blessed and that he lives[s] a privileged life, “he also rightly pointed out that poor mental health does not discriminate – and wealth and privilege do not make a person” immune to depression. “
Discussing the vital role his dogs played in his recovery, James wrote: “Ella, in particular, has been my constant companion for ten years and has accompanied me to all of my therapy sessions. In her own way, she m ‘allowed to continue. “Ella and James are now volunteers for the Animals as therapy charity and Ella is a full-fledged therapy female dog.
Previously, James also spoke about how a special gift from his family, including his sister the Duchess of Cambridge, had helped him through darker times: he was also keeping bees (something Kate herself has also a passion).
In another piece written for the Daily mail, James noted, “I wrote in this article about clinical depression that first hit me in 2016, and one of my strategies for dealing with it is beekeeping … I have always wanted to breed bees, but it wasn’t until I was 24 in 2011 that the wish came true.
“Then my family – mum, dad and sisters Catherine and Pippa – got together to buy what was for me the most fantastic birthday present imaginable. A delivery van arrived with a large buzzing box with the Warning label: “Live Bees.” Inside was the nucleus – the beginning – of my colony: 1,000 Buckfast bees. ”
He added, “I see it as an active form of meditation, a chance to escape the mental turmoil. When I’m with my bees, it’s like someone is pushing the mute button on whatever is happening to me. worry.”
Kudos to James for starting his new blog – we can’t wait to find out about all the dog related tips and tricks!
