NZME strengthens its position as New Zealand’s lifestyle home

New Zealand Media and Entertainment (NZME) further strengthens its position as a national hub for lifestyle content and audiences, with the launch of an exciting new Sunday lifestyle magazine and the announcement of appointments of key people.

NZME launches its enhanced lifestyle content today – Sunday 21st August – with the launch of Reset – a magazine to be picked up in a new Herald on Sunday and available online. The dynamic new lifestyle magazine will provide insight into the lives of celebrities and everyday people – a practical read, filled with celebrity chef meal planner recipes, parenting tips, sex advice, love stories, wellness, travel, beauty, fashion and puzzles.

Jacqui Loates-Haver, magazine editor and lifestyle content guru, has joined the Herald on Sunday team as editor of Resetwith over 20 years of industry experience, including as Head of Lifestyle, Travel and Features at NZME-owned BusinessDesk, Editor-in-Chief of Kia Ora Magazine and Editor-in-Chief of New Idea.

“Reset truly reflects our typical Sunday mood – it’s real, raw, relatable and inclusive, and promises to create a moment of relaxation, while allowing readers to refresh and reset for the week ahead. “, she says. “With 36 pages of mood-boosting content, we’re confident there’s something for everyone with Reset and will be Kiwis’ favorite new weekend read.”

Reset’s first cover girl is Kiwi dance superstar Parris Goebel, who embodies the new magazine’s look and feel: provocative and boundary-pushing.

Reset coincides with the Herald on Sunday’s post-pandemic makeover which includes a bold new vertical masthead, new columnists and strengthened sports, business and entertainment sections.

NZME also recently announced the appointment of Natasha Callister to the new role of Managing Director of Lifestyle and Driven, leading the strategic direction and performance of NZME’s market-leading portfolio of lifestyle, entertainment and automotive brands.

Callister has extensive experience working with lifestyle, corporate and e-commerce audiences, including leadership roles within NZME as Head of Automotive/Driven and Head of Revenue GrabOne & Driven . Reporting to Director of Digital and Publishing, Carolyn Luey, Callister will be supported by a team of experts including Loates-Haver and Susana Leitao, who was recently promoted to the new role of Lifestyle & Driven Commercial Product Manager.

Audiences can also expect to see new immersive experiences later this year from the brands they know and love, including Viva, Driven and NZ Herald Lifestyle.
