Karur: In another tragic incident, a 17-year-old girl in Karur, Tamil Nadu ended her life at home on Friday evening. The girl was a grade 12 student and was staying at home with her mother when her father passed away at a young age.

The victim also left a suicide note and suggested that she was sexually assaulted by an unknown perpetrator.

The letter the girl left said, “I should be the last girl to die of sexual harassment.” according to the report published in the Indian express. The minor also said she was afraid to expose the abuser.

Reports suggest the daughter took this drastic step when her mother was not at home. The shocking incident was revealed when a neighbor came to the victim’s home and was shocked to see the gruesome scene, after which he alerted cops to the incident.

After receiving the information, the cops rushed to the scene and the victim was rushed to the nearby medical center where she was pronounced dead by doctors. A case has been filed under Article 174 of the CrPC.

Meanwhile, Vengamedu Police Inspector Kannadasan has been suspended for allegedly behaving rudely with members of the victim’s family. The girl’s family reportedly claimed to have been mistreated by Vengamedu police and even refused to take action.

Following this, Karur Jothimani’s MP wrote a letter to Tamil Nadu MP CM Stalin and DGP Sylendra Babu and urged them to take action against the cops, claiming the inspector was drunk and even mistreated the mother. the victims.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that other people who had also accompanied the victim’s mother to the police station were assaulted.
