Tom Brady would have retired from the NFL, ending what was undeniably one of the greatest careers in sports history.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion was bombarded with heartfelt messages from fans who were heartbroken to witness the end of his 22 years in the NFL.

The 44-year-old spent 19 years with the New England Patriots, before joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020 and guiding the team to an unlikely Super Bowl LV win.

Brady is widely considered the greatest player in NFL history, as well as one of the greatest sports stars of all time.

American football fans will remember him for his ruthless consistency at the top as well as his steely determination on the field, but Brady was also able to indulge in the lighter side of life.

One such moment happened last year during an episode of Jimmy Kimmel’s Celebrity Read Mean Tweets.

One fan trolled him, tweeting, “Fuck off, Tom Brady. Hope this loss gets you so down that you can barely have sex with your model wife in your giant mansion.”

The quarterback simply smiled, pursed his lips and replied “no comment”.

Brady previously admitted that when he joined the Buccaneers, pre-game sex with Brazilian model Gisele Bündchen’s wife was not an option.

“I wouldn’t say it probably never happened but I don’t think now would be the time,” he told Dax Shepard on the Expert Armchair Podcast.

“That wouldn’t be my pre-match warm-up.”

Brady and Bündchen married in 2009 and have two children together, Benjamin (11) and Vivian (8).

Bündchen was previously married to actor Leonardo di Caprio.
