We’ve created an ‘intimacy menu’ to keep our sex life warm – here’s what’s on it

Sex is what’s for a California couple’s dinner, snacks and dessert.

Sheri Green, 54, and her husband, Derek, 55, say they made a steamy “intimacy menu” to spice up their sex life and maintain their 34-year relationship.

“We started to feel rejected if one of us wanted intimacy but the other didn’t, so we created the intimacy menu,” relationship and lifestyle coach Sheri explained. at SWNS.

The menu is separated into starters, main courses and desserts to ensure that they meet everyone’s needs. To start, the appetizer section includes a foot massage, a quickie, or a blowjob.

The sexual tasting plate then moves to “lots” of foreplay and sex or full body massage, followed by intercourse. Dessert offers a bit of role-playing or a quickie in a room other than the bedroom.

They came up with the idea after the birth of their daughter, now 28.

The couple – who conceived the idea in 1994 after having their first daughter, Tori, now 28 – say they are ‘constantly trying new things’ to keep their sex life hot, including doing on designated days.

They say they make sure to have sex on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and prioritize their relationship. They also compromise to spend quality time together.

“Derek often likes to watch action movies that I don’t like, so as a compromise, he often massages my feet while we watch,” Sheri explained. “This is my ideal place.”

“I think when your sex life is good, that’s 10% of the reason a relationship thrives,” Sheri continued, adding that their “menu” is there to make sure no one feels neglected.

“Even if one is not in the mood or tired, something else can be offered on the menu,” she said, citing a massage or even Derek doing the dishes as examples.

The happy – and content – couple say it’s not always necessary to try something new in the bedroom to keep things fresh.

“This could be a new activity to do together,” suggested Derek, also a relationship and lifestyle coach. “In a relationship, each partner should own a piece and each gives and takes a little.”

To avoid becoming “roommates or business partners”, they also try to do little things, like setting their alarms to allow for a morning cuddle or sex session.

“I will always smile at Sheri in the morning or tell her she’s beautiful,” Derek joked.

“It always feels like we’re dating,” Sheri exclaimed. “I am delighted to spend time with Derek! »
